Many of our classes are geared towards beginners. Taking woodworking classes is a great way to learn how to work safely and efficiently, all while making something beautiful. We suggest starting with BASIC classes until you feel comfortable on the machines.
Just like any other skill, we do better the more we practice. With that in mind, every class is designed to teach you new techniques and give you opportunities to practice. Everyone learns differently, but like any other craft, woodworking takes time to gain skills. Think of it like learning to play an instrument or speak a foreign language - it's going to take time to get good at it.
Most classes require SAFETY ORIENTATION as a prerequisite but some like DIY or Cutting Boards or Woodturning do not. For more detailed information, including pricing, please click on the class titles.
In order to maximize learning opportunities and minimize down time, we limit most of our classes to 6 students. As a result, most of our classes/workshops fill up a week or two in advance.
Wondering what to take first or what to take next? Check out our Curriculum page.
